Review of The Red Wolf Conspiracy (the Chathrand voyage, #1)

The Red Wolf Conspiracy (The Chathrand Voyage, #1)The Red Wolf Conspiracy by Robert V.S. Redick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pazel is just a simple tarboy with a tragic history, the son of a (supposed) traitor but has a great destiny at work thanks to Chadfellow who saves him from a life of slavery. Chadfellow himself is a very complex character whose motives are simple to the eye but much more complicated. Tasha the daughter of ambassador who is getting married to seal a peace, but prophecy foretells that this event will trigger a war by the followers of a God-King long thought to be dead. These events set motion by a handful of people some who seem very trusting to the main character(s). To be honest the pace of this book in the beginning is a little slow (in my opinion) since it introduces the most of the main characters, but it slowly steadily builds up its pace. However if you are looking for a well written book containing various traditional along some non-traditional fantasy elements with complex characters and complex plot lines, don’t overlook this book you will regret it.
