Review of A Clash of Kings (A song of Ice and Fire,#2)

A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2)A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book defiantly, without question picks up were the Game of Thrones left off. The books pace is much faster then the previous book, which had a lot more politics in it that drove the plot. In contrast this book has much more war, which defiantly accelerated the pace of the story in my opinion. A lot takes place in this book, that impacts the landscape as well the plot. Hopefully A Storm of Swords keeps the pace of the story alive, unlike so many that have died in this book which is a lot.
This book increased my loathing for Ceresi and Joeffry. It feels like Tyrion is the only Lannister that seems to have a brain in that family. I definitely felt sympathy for both of the House Stark’s daughters who are not in pleasant circumstances that seem to worsen throughout the book.
